I found a lovely picture and positive quote while I was cruising one of my favorite sites, Pinterest. It read “Happiness is an inside job.” I was instantly touched and moved by the picture, and it made me think; how many people are living their lives making sure that they work to experience true happiness? I know I have fallen victim to the go go go pace of life. I often find myself tired, fatigued, restless and downright cranky because I have not taken the time to fully rejuvenate – to live by the principle that my happiness is largely dependent on me, “an inside job.” With that being said, how many of you out there are also guilty of not being the true owners of your happiness, again, falling victim to the go go go pace of life, trying to be everything to everybody, or seeking the approval and validation from others for happiness? I challenge you (myself included) to find your true happiness within, to validate yourself, set boundaries, do what’s genuinely important and meaningful to you. Happiness is an inside job…..
